Campground Rules

  • Pets are not allowed in any of the buildings or cabins. They are allowed in your RV or tent, but when out must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Pets must be attended at all times.

  • Alcoholic beverages should be consumed responsibly, and only in your own campsite.

  • Smoking is not allowed in any building: Store, Bathhouse, Laundry, or Cabins.  Please dispose of your butts in an appropriate container (ash tray). Every butt dropped on the ground we must pick up!

  • Fire Rings are for firewood.  Food scraps, butts, plastic, aluminum cans, bread ties etc. do not belong.

  • Trash should be disposed of in the Dumpster provided at the far end of the turn around.

  • Water and Septic equipment (hoses, connections, etc.) must be in good working order.  Leaking equipment is not permitted. The sewer connection should either screw in or have an odor tight seal. Do not jam your sewer hose all the way down into the inlet. It will stop the flow from other sites.

  • Children should be supervised and taught to respect all living plants and animals in the campground. Use caution as Whispering Pines Road is a County Road.

  • Trees should not be cut down or injured (including nails). Please do not dig up any kind of vegetation.

  • Fishing is allowed in Hemptown Creek. The Chattahoochee National Forest fish hatchery stocks the stream with brown or rainbow trout about every two weeks. Georgia law requires that you have a fishing license and trout stamp. A license can be obtained at the tackle store on the corner of Hwy 60 and Hwy 76/515. You can also purchase one online at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources website

  • Swimming is included for all registered campers. Visitors of campers will be required to pay for swimming privileges. All children 13 or under must be accompanied by an adult while in the pool area. Please follow all of the swimming pool rules which are posted.

  • Vehicles, boats or trailers (over 2) will be charged a fee, since we are a small park with limited space.
